Job Description

The Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Data Systems will be responsible for contributions to new development for current software tools, database work including queries, stored procedures, and tables, and executing updates to ShermanData configuration based on Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests. This role involves maintaining production software, collaborating on upgrade and re-platforming efforts of existing software, and supporting the 24/7 manufacturing facility. The engineer will work with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL and demonstrate proficiency in C# / .NET / Python programming.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Deep knowledge of relational database concepts and Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in C# / .NET / Python software programming environment.
  • Experience with subversion and/or code repositories like Tortoise SVN, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
Good to have:
  • Proficiency with NI LabVIEW (current or expired certification).
  • Understanding of semiconductor chip manufacturing process.

Job Details

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contributions to new development for current software tools
  • Database work to include queries, stored procedures, tables, view.
  • Fab Support
  • Execute updates to ShermanData configuration communicated in Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests.
  • Maintenance of production software
  • Collaborate and lead upgrade and re-platforming efforts of existing software.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or another engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of relational database concepts and especially Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C# / .NET / Python software programming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with subversion and/or code repositories such as Tortoise SVN, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

Working Conditions

Normal office working conditions in a climate-controlled environment. Flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Ability to work collaboratively others both in person and remotely. 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of times. Must be able to sit in front a computer to complete task for up to 2-4 hours at a time.
