About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Android Mobile App Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications. The ideal candidate is proficient with Kotlin and/or Java, has a strong grasp of Android SDKs, and has delivered multiple apps to production. Bonus points if you have worked on applications that integrate with IoT devices, such as smart home systems, wearables, or Bluetooth-enabled hardware.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Work with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, optimize performance, and enhance user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
- If applicable, integrate mobile apps with IoT devices using protocols such as BLE, MQTT, or Wi-Fi.
Who you are and What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Android application development.
- Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, UI design principles, and architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, etc.).
- Experience with third-party libraries, APIs, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub.
- Experience publishing apps to the Google Play Store.
- Experience working with IoT platforms and protocols (e.g., BLE, MQTT).
- Familiarity with embedded systems or firmware communication from Android.
- Experience working with smart devices or home automation systems.
- Knowledge of security best practices in mobile and IoT applications.
- Prior experience with Android Jetpack Compose is a plus.
