Senior Engineering Manager, Ads & Brand Experiences (Full Stack)

We’re seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with 12+ years of experience to lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team focused on building the future of immersive advertising, brand presence, and commerce. This is a unique opportunity to shape Roblox’s next major revenue stream, while setting a new standard for advertising and branded experiences in the metaverse.

You Will:

• Drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of immersive ads, brand integrations, and commerce systems within the Roblox platform.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers (frontend, backend, and full stack), fostering a high-performance and inclusive engineering culture.
• Build systems that power ad campaign creation, immersive brand experiences, and publisher monetization—scaling to millions of users and billions of transactions.
• Work closely with product, design, data, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact, user-facing features.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and top global brands to develop innovative solutions that enhance user engagement and drive business value.
• Recruit and grow top-tier engineering talent; establish technical best practices, quality standards, and long-term team health.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and data integrity across all systems—prioritizing security, scale, and seamless user experience.
• Act as a cross-functional leader, translating business goals into technical execution across multiple workstreams and teams.

You Have:

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Proven track record building scalable systems and full-stack applications using technologies like React, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, C++, or similar.
• Strong foundation in API design, microservices, and containerized architectures.
• Experience with Ads systems, Brand platforms, or Commerce tools is highly preferred.
• Deep technical acumen with the ability to lead architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical deep-dives.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A passion for building user-first, data-informed, community-respecting products.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and evolving product requirements in fast-paced environments.
