Job Description
As a Senior ETL QA Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough data validation and testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Your primary responsibilities include validating ETL processes, performing end-to-end testing of data pipelines, writing and executing complex SQL queries, and analyzing and troubleshooting data issues. You will also work closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. This role involves testing ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, as well as validating data migration and transformation logic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Good To Have:
- Experience with UI automation tools like Selenium.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Must Have:
- Data validation and ETL testing experience.
- Experience with SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, particularly SSIS.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct through data validation and testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Validate ETL processes and data transformation logic.
- Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines and workflows.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data and perform data quality checks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot data issues using SQL.
- Ensure database changes and updates are thoroughly tested.
- Test ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Work closely with the development team to understand ETL requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Validate data migration and transformation logic implemented in SSIS packages.
- Nice to have UI automation skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in QA with a focus on data validation, ETL testing, and SQL.
- Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, particularly SSIS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
