Job Description: We are seeking Senior Level Designers to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming open-world action-adventure game, which will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in level design, a deep understanding of open-world game mechanics, and proficiency with the Unity game engine.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop engaging, immersive, and visually stunning levels for an open-world action-adventure game with driving elements.
  • Collaborate with the design, art, and programming teams to create a cohesive and compelling game world.
  • Implement level design using the Unity game engine, ensuring that levels are fun, challenging, and aligned with the game's vision.
  • Create detailed level layouts, including terrain, architecture, and interactive elements.
  • Design and implement mission structures, side quests, and dynamic events within the game world.
  • Balance and fine-tune gameplay to provide a satisfying experience for players across multiple platforms.
  • Work closely with the art team to ensure visual consistency and quality in level design.
  • Playtest and iterate on level designs based on feedback from internal testing and user research.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in level design, with a focus on open-world games
  • Proficiency in the Unity game engine and experience with multiplatform development (PlayStation, Xbox, PC, mobile).
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, level flow, and player psychology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of current trends in the gaming industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with driving mechanics and vehicle-based gameplay.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (C# preferred).
  • Familiarity with game development tools such as Maya, Blender, or similar.
