Are you a nerdy, detail-oriented optimizer who loves spreadsheets, systems and Warhammer?

As a Game Designer at Snowprint you’ll work on the popular game Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. You'll dive deep into systems, configurations, and balance sheets. You’ll be tweaking numbers, refining mechanics, and designing live events that keep all our players engaged.

At Snowprint Studios, we believe that kindness, collaboration, and self-leadership are what make great games possible. Here your work goes straight into the hands of players, giving you the rare chance to see immediate impact and learn from their feedback in real time. This is a role where details matter.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of live events in Tacticus, anything from small double XP challenges to large events spanning over multi-week seasons. You’ll design, configure, and fine-tune these experiences in spreadsheets and in Unity, ensuring they’re both exciting and balanced. Alongside this, you’ll handle offers and bundles, manage localization tasks, and support the broader team with game configuration work.

Since Tacticus is a live game, you’ll quickly see how your work and decisions resonate with players, giving you valuable feedback and a strong learning environment. You’ll be working closely with an experienced team on a high-quality product, where collaboration and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers, always keeping the player experience top of mind. Over time, you may also contribute to new feature design and documentation, expanding your impact across the game.

Is this you?

  • You are an experienced game designer with a background from a professional game development environment. Having worked with live game operations is preferred, though experience from mobile, free-to-play, or strategy games is also a good foundation.
  • You are used to working hands-on in a game engine, and experience with Unity specifically is particularly valuable.
  • You have a deep understanding of and interest in turn-based strategy and tactical games.
  • You have experience with configuration, google sheets and version handling best practices.

Where you’ll work

Our Berlin studio is in Mitte, with a hybrid working model. We work from the office Tuesdays and Fridays, to allow for closer collaboration and socializing, other days it's up to everyone where they feel most comfortable to work. We support hybrid work by supplying you with the right setup and tools.

Good to know

We are an international company with approximately many nationalities working here. Our company language is English and therefore your application should be in English.
