As a Senior Lighting Artist, under the Lead Artist's supervision, you will contribute to the vibrant world of Rayman. Your key role involves creating immersive game atmospheres while ensuring accessibility. Your responsibilities include designing in-game lighting tools in collaboration with the Technical Art Director and programming team, communicating with various disciplines to integrate lighting effectively, demonstrating artistic skills, understanding technical constraints, providing support with materials, and recreating visual effects within the real-time engine. You will also be responsible for ensuring lighting quality and making improvements.

Job Details

Under the supervision of the Lead Artist, you'll be working on the colorful, creative world of Rayman.

Thanks to your expertise, your role will be key in creating the game's atmospheres while also ensuring the accessibility of the final product. You will be responsible for maintaining the creative and artistic direction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Technical Art Director and the programming team to design specific tools and features for in-game lighting.
  • Communicate with other disciplines (animators, level artists, level designers, etc.) to ensure their needs are met and implement an effective lighting approach.
  • Demonstrate strong artistic skills.
  • Understand technical constraints related to platforms and game engines.
  • Provide teams with support and expertise in materials (PBR), atmospheric effects, and other lighting-related topics.
  • Analyze the creative context and visual references of an effect, deconstruct them, and recreate them within a real-time engine.
  • Ensure the in-game lighting quality meets expectations and make necessary improvements.
