Senior Line Producer - Esports Content Services

Line Producers at Riot are responsible for the financial, administrative and operational management of global events, regional arenas and studios, and remote broadcast facilities ensuring alignment between budget, production execution, and strategic goals. As a Senior Line Producer within Esports Content Services, you will oversee budgeting, financial tracking, and vendor management for our live events and studio operations while also driving improvements in vendor production workflows and documentation.

Reporting to the Director of Production Finance, Esports Content Services, you will be an integral part of our remote broadcast facilities management team. You will partner with multiple stakeholders, including our global events, regional arenas and studios to allocate resources effectively, make financially informed decisions, and optimize production workflows to enhance operational efficiency and standardization across the remote broadcast centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting, vendor management, and cost negotiations for world-wide production finance operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and execution.
• Develop and implement Production Finance department procedures, systems and  workflows improvements between regional and global operations. 
• Manage financial operations of productions, managing budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting, while ensuring compliance and providing financial insights to creative and production teams across regional offices.
• Establish, maintain, and optimize vendor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and production documentation to drive efficiency and standardization across remote broadcast centers, global events, regional arenas and studios.
• Oversee vendor staffing plans, contingent workforce allocation, and production scheduling to align with Riot’s operational needs and production cycles.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day finance business operations, implementing escalation procedures to swiftly identify and resolve issues.
• Deliver financial and operational reports to leadership, analyzing production changes and their impact on contract obligations and cost forecasts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, production partners, and vendor leads to ensure seamless execution of remote broadcast center, global events, regional arenas and studio operations.
• Contribution to the development of operational plans and production schedules, ensuring resources, workflows, and deliverables align with Riot Games’ service requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning and forecasting rituals, contributing insights to improve production efficiency and financial sustainability through contingent workforce planning.
• Actualize operational budgets while working with production accounting, and other company financial departments collaborating with all teams within Riot to ensure accuracy and tracking of expenses.
• Facilitate the creation and submission of POs, SOWs, work orders and processing vendors through our production finance platform, global procurement, legal and vendor management systems for our remote broadcast facilities, global events, regional arenas and studios.
• Partner with both global and regional corporate finance teams, accounts payable, procurement, purchasing, tax and legal to set up processes and workflows for contracting and paying vendors both globally and locally around the globe.
• Partner with vendors and production partners to understand their finance and accounting workflows to determine the best practices to integrate them into our model for successful cost management. 
• Collaborate with Riot’s accounts payable to make sure contractors and vendors are paid on time and there is Riot policy adherence.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in production and/or live events.
• 6+ years of experience as a Line Producer or equivalent senior production role.
• Hands-on experience as a Line Producer or Senior Production Manager, with expertise in project management and production operations for live events and live broadcast entertainment.
• Strong financial management skills in a production environment.
• Proven ability to develop and manage vendor partnerships, production documentation, and training programs.
• Experience in multiple entertainment budget tracking systems, including Movie Magic, Showbiz, Xytech Media Pulse, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies in live event production environments.

Desired Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in production.
• 8+ years of experience in line producing.
• Background in production accounting or experience as a production accountant.
• Experience with remote broadcast centers and large-scale Esports production environments.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to optimize production execution and cost management.
