You will be instrumental in shaping the culture, systems, and employee experiences at a multimodal AI startup. As a foundational member of the people team, your vision and execution will directly impact how exceptional talent is attracted, grown, and retained. This role involves close partnership with engineering, product, and business leaders. Responsibilities include building and launching innovative onboarding programs, aligning organizational design and performance management, handling employee relations with empathy and confidentiality, leading HRIS implementation (BambooHR), creating workshops for manager effectiveness, and using data-driven insights to evolve culture and employee experience during rapid scaling. The role requires 7+ years in HR, with at least 2 years in a people management or HRBP leadership role within a high-growth tech environment, proven experience designing HR systems from scratch, expertise in HRIS platforms like BambooHR, and skills in coaching managers and resolving sensitive employee issues. Experience with ambiguity, rapid execution in early-stage startups, leveraging AI tools for HR innovation, and strong communication skills are highly valued.

What a Typical Week Might Look Like

  • Building and launching an innovative onboarding program to set our new team members up for immediate success.

  • Collaborating closely with department leaders to align organizational design, performance management, and growth strategies.

  • Handling sensitive employee relations issues with empathy, confidentiality, and proactive solutions.

  • Leading the implementation and management of our HRIS (BambooHR), ensuring seamless workflows and scalable data management.

  • Creating and delivering workshops and resources to enhance manager effectiveness and employee development.

  • Using data-driven insights to evolve our culture and employee experience as the company rapidly scales.

Your Background Looks Something Like

The Essentials:

  • 7+ years in HR roles, including at least 2 years in a people management or HRBP leadership role in a high-growth tech environment.

  • Proven experience designing and launching core HR systems, programs, and processes from scratch.

  • Demonstrated expertise managing HRIS platforms—ideally BambooHR.

  • Skilled in coaching managers, resolving sensitive issues, and promoting inclusive, high-performing teams.
