Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Solution Engineering for Slack within Salesforce's Global Public Sector, you'll lead a high-performing team, driving growth and innovation in solution selling. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic growth plans, building C-level relationships, hiring and mentoring top talent, and championing Salesforce values. You'll work closely with sales teams, leveraging expertise in business processes, cloud computing, and the Slack ecosystem to drive transformational change. The role requires exceptional communication and storytelling skills, technical expertise in Slack, and experience selling to the Public Sector (preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

As a Solution Engineering Manager responsible for Slack within the Global Public Sector organizational unit, you will work closely with the Sales Teams to drive growth, and take a strategic view to get us to the next stage of our journey.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Solution Engineering team in a rapidly evolving AI-driven market.

  • Drive transformational change and innovation in solution selling.

  • Build C-level relationships to strengthen partnerships and drive revenue.

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with Sales teams.

  • Hire, mentor, and retain top talent while ensuring career growth and succession planning.

  • Champion Salesforce values and provide exemplary leadership.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Expertise in business processes and enterprise applications.

  • Strong understanding of Cloud Computing and its business benefits.

  • Knowledge of Slack product use cases, Slack ecosystem, and integration patterns.

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills to engage diverse audiences, including C-level executives.

  • Passion for technology, innovation, and forward-thinking strategies.

  • Technical expertise in Slack required.

  • Experience selling to Public Sector, Nonprofit and / or Higher Education desired.

  • Ability to articulate complex technological and business concepts.

  • Ability to prioritize under pressure, adapt, and lead change in large organizations.

  • Proven experience assessing and growing  teams while mentoring and inspiring talent.

  • Past experience in pre-sales or technical sales roles

  • Past experience in direct leadership (manager, team lead, etc.).

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $183,400 to $245,280.

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,670 to $222,950.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,670 to $245,280.

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,670 to $222,950.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $183,400 to $245,280.

For Minnesota based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,670 to $222,950.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
