Job Description

Zelis is seeking a Senior Marketing Technology & Operations Specialist to help scale and optimize our modern B2B2C marketing technology stack. This role plays a critical part in enabling high-performance, data-driven marketing across multiple outbound channels including email, SMS, direct mail, and phone campaigns. You’ll support end-to-end platform operations, vendor integrations, and campaign enablement with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This is a hands-on, tech-facing individual contributor role ideal for someone who is curious, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to improve marketing effectiveness through smarter systems and automation.
Must have:
  • Support day-to-day platform operations for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related tools.
  • Assist in evaluating and integrating new martech vendors and platforms.
  • Collaborate with campaign owners, analytics, and CRM teams to align system workflows and data flows.
  • Help manage platform documentation, technical requirements gathering, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Conduct QA and campaign-level diagnostics to ensure data accuracy, deliverability, and performance tracking integrity.
  • Support campaign execution by advising on platform setup, segmentation logic, automations, and scheduling.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, platform migrations, and integration testing.
  • Maintain process documentation and propose improvements to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.
Good to have:
  • Experience with vendor selection, RFPs, or platform integration projects.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar project trackers.
  • Knowledge of basic SQL, HTML, or AMPscript.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or B2B2C marketing environments.

Position Overview

Zelis is seeking a Senior Marketing Technology & Operations Specialist to help scale and optimize our modern B2B2C marketing technology stack. This role plays a critical part in enabling high-performance, data-driven marketing across multiple outbound channels including email, SMS, direct mail, and phone campaigns. You’ll support end-to-end platform operations, vendor integrations, and campaign enablement with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

You’ll be part of a growing Marketing Operations team responsible for building the infrastructure that powers engagement with millions of members. This is a hands-on, tech-facing individual contributor role ideal for someone who is curious, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to improve marketing effectiveness through smarter systems and automation.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day platform operations for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio) and related tools.
  • Assist in evaluating and integrating new martech vendors and platforms to expand outreach capabilities (e.g., SMS, phone, direct mail).
  • Collaborate with campaign owners, analytics, and CRM teams to align system workflows and data flows across platforms.
  • Help manage platform documentation, technical requirements gathering, and implementation roadmaps for new tools or capabilities.
  • Conduct QA and campaign-level diagnostics to ensure data accuracy, deliverability, and performance tracking integrity (e.g., UTM standards).
  • Support campaign execution by advising on platform setup, segmentation logic, automations, and scheduling across outbound channels.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, platform migrations, and integration testing in partnership with Marketing Operations leadership.
  • Maintain process documentation and propose improvements to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in marketing operations, marketing technology, or campaign production roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
  • Understanding of outbound campaign workflows: email, SMS, phone, and direct mail channels.
  • Strong skills in process documentation, vendor management, and platform support.
  • Solid understanding of campaign execution best practices, marketing automation, and performance tagging (e.g., UTM parameters).
  • Highly organized, with a problem-solving mindset and interest in continuous optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vendor selection, RFPs, or platform integration projects.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar project trackers.
  • Knowledge of basic SQL, HTML, or AMPscript a plus.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or B2B2C marketing environments.
