Job Overview

Elevate our creative endeavors as a Senior Modeling/Texturing Artist in our Animation/Modeling team. As a seasoned professional, you will take a lead role in crafting exceptional 3D models and textures, contributing to the visual brilliance of our projects. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll bring your expertise to align the artistic vision with project goals, ensuring a seamless integration of assets into the animation pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to modeling and texturing artists, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.
• Bring a wealth of experience to the team, guiding the creation of high-quality 3D models and textures.
• Set the artistic direction for projects, ensuring alignment with overall creative vision and project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with animators, riggers, and other team members to understand project requirements and integrate assets effectively.
• Contribute to project discussions, offering artistic insights and solutions.
• Oversee the quality assurance process, conducting thorough reviews of models and textures to uphold the highest standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and implement revisions as needed.
• Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and contribute to the development of efficient processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement industry-best practices and tools.
• Foster continuous learning and development within the team, providing mentorship and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in relevant software including Maya, Arnold, Photoshop, Substance Painter and Zbrush
• Expert understanding of topology and UV creation
• Optimized workflows within standard software
• Able to adapt to different styles and treatments to match client expectations
• CG modeling/texturing experience required working in an Animation, Gaming, or Digital Visual Effects Studio.
• CG experience creating and texturing models in Maya
• Able to build and texture unique and/or complicated sets
• Able to build and texture unique and/or complicated characters
• Able to build and texture vehicles
• Show an aptitude or specialize in characters or set modeling and texturing
• Assist with R & D development for new assets
• Assist with training and mentoring Junior and Intermediate Artists
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to take feedback and apply it practically to your asset tasks
