Job Description

The Financial Market Digital Channels team at Luxoft is seeking a Senior Performance Tester to join their global team. This role involves developing and executing performance tests for the bank's in-house pricing, execution, and trade processing platform. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring application stability and performance, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with development teams to integrate performance considerations into the design phase. This is an opportunity to work with smart technologists in a dynamic financial markets environment.

Good To Have:

Experience in container (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) platforms.
Exposure to Generative AI and experience in implementing relevant AI solutions for Performance Engineering.
Experience on UI performance of thin/thick client applications.
Experience in Shell scripting and Ansible for automation and configuration management.

Must Have:

Collaborate with engineers to develop testing and monitoring approaches.
Ensure assurance in error rates, response times, and infrastructure impact.
Design, script, configure, and run performance tests for production readiness.
Condition test data for proper simulation.
Support testing for new projects, infrastructure upgrades, and application enhancements.
Diagnose, track, and manage performance issues to resolution.
Utilize dashboards for efficient monitoring and troubleshooting.
Provide performance summaries and assessments, emphasizing trends.
Conduct deep dive analysis of data for trends or anomalies.
Collaborate with AD teams to ensure performant application features.
Implement end-to-end performance testing/engineering solutions.
Perform requirement gathering, test planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, analysis, and tuning.
Monitor and tune Java-based applications, including JVM, Heap/Thread dumps, JFR, and GC logs.
Tune SQL and PostgreSQL/Oracle DB instances.
Create custom apps/tools for performance testing and monitoring using Java.
Integrate performance tests into CI/CD workflows using DevOps tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
Work on Linux systems.
Set up dashboards for metrics and logs using Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with other engineers to develop testing and monitoring approaches
Focuses on assurance in the areas of error rates, response times, and impact to infrastructure
Designs, scripts, configures, and run performance tests to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance
Conditions test data as needed to properly simulate test scenarios
Supports testing needs of new projects, infrastructure upgrades, and application enhancements by validating application functionality against documented test cases
Diagnoses, tracks, and manages performance issues to resolution
Uses dashboards that enable efficient monitoring of applications and systems running in production environments to troubleshoot issues and report findings
Provides summaries and assessments of the applications performance, emphasizing trends over time
Conducts deep dive analysis of data when trends or anomalies are identified
Collaborates with AD teams during story design to ensure new application features are developed in a performant manner.

Skills

Must have

8+ years full time Performance Testing and Engineering experience
Strong experience in implementing end to end performance testing/engineering solutions
requirement gathering, test planning, test execution and monitoring, result reporting/analysis/tuning.
Strong hands-on experience in at least two of the following load test tools: LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling
Strong experience in monitoring and tuning java-based applications
JVM performance tuning, analysis of Heap/Thread dumps, JFR, GC logs etc.
Strong experience in SQL tuning and PostgreSQL/Oracle DB instance tuning
Hands-on experience in Java programming
should be able to create custom apps/tools for performance testing and monitoring
Hands-on experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps (ADO) etc., including writing pipelines and integrating performance tests into CI/CD workflows
Hands-on experience in working on Linux systems
Experience in setting up dashboards for metrics and logs using open-source tools like Prometheus, Loki, Grafana etc.

Nice to have
