The Senior Producer at Hogarth manages all aspects of integrated production, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, talent negotiations, and delivery. This role involves forging vendor relationships and connecting Account, Creative, Project Management, and Business Affairs departments. They also coordinate with digital, social, and experiential teams to ensure synergy across multiple channels, supporting creative concepts and developing production solutions.
Must have:

  • Formulate and develop production rationale and recommendations.

  • Be a resource to the agency for developing content production solutions and strategies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with production partners.
  • Procure, review and negotiate production estimates.
  • Scrutinize suppliers plans and practices, provide direction as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule productions.
  • Conduct pre-production meetings.
  • Manage production budgets.
  • Review and approve all production-related invoices.
  • Wrap jobs and manage all assets.
  • Advise agency stakeholders in all content production-related matters.
  • Be an expert on filmmaking, photography, image capture, digital platforms and formats.
  • Manage multiple projects as needed.
  • Mentor associate producers.
  • Be client facing as needed.

About the Role

The Senior Producer is a doer! They manage all aspects of integrated production: scoping, connecting, budgeting, scheduling, talent negotiations and payment, shoot, edit, visual effects, music and delivery. They forge and leverage vendor relationships to bring together the right team for every level of production. This position is the hub connecting the Account, Creative, Project Management and Business Affairs departments. The Senior Producer also coordinates with the digital, social and experiential teams to ensure synergy of all assets and content across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute the creative concept.
  • Formulate and develop production rationale and recommendations.
  • Have an eye for new talent – directors, editors, content creators, designers, etc.
  • Be a resource to the agency for developing content production solutions and strategies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with our production partners.
  • Procure, review and negotiate production estimates.
  • Scrutinize suppliers plans and practices, provide direction as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule productions.
  • Conduct pre-production meetings.
  • Manage production budgets.
  • Review and approve all production-related invoices.
  • Wrap jobs and manage all assets.
  • Advise agency stakeholders in all content production-related matters with creative and budgetary solutions for improving quality.
  • Be an expert on filmmaking, photography, image capture, digital platforms and formats.
  • Manage multiple projects as needed.
  • Mentor associate producers.
  • Be client facing as needed.

Requirements for Success

  • Be a creative problem solver – solution oriented.
  • Be one step ahead – anticipate and guide the team around pitfalls throughout the production process.
  • Be a diplomat – deal with conflicting personalities and agendas and be able to unite divergent viewpoints.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and integrity.

  • Be imaginative – bring your own ideas to the table.
  • Have a strong visual sense.
  • Know music – how, when and where to use it effectively.
  • Be a business person – able to negotiate contracts and understand all the complicated financial and legal aspects connected with production.
  • Be flexible – production is not an exact science.
  • Be a team player.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10years ad agency experience. Production experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of all agency disciplines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, take-ownership attitude, self-organizing and highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision, and communicate up, down and laterally to project stakeholders within the agency
  • Proficient in MAC OS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote (Adobe Suite & Smartsheet a plus)

“The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000.
