Scopely is seeking a Senior Product Analyst for their Monopoly Go! team. This role involves partnering with internal data platform and data science teams to generate player behavior insights and improve feature performance. Responsibilities include data modeling, event tracking, AB-testing, conducting analyses, and providing recommendations to answer complex game-related questions. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, define key metrics, establish data collection processes, and implement analytical frameworks. This individual contributor role requires ownership of end-to-end analytical projects, from feature inception to robust reporting and A/B experiment assessment. The analyst will also work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into business outcomes and influence the product roadmap by identifying needs, gaps, and prioritizing features for maximum player engagement and satisfaction. Excellent English communication, intellectual curiosity, and analytical rigor are essential.
Must have:
  • 4+ years experience as Data Analyst or BI role

Scopely is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Monopoly Go! team in the US on a hybrid or remote basis.

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become one of Scopely’s largest games enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

What you will do

As a Senior Product Analyst you will join a team of Product Analysts and Analytical Engineers, working to support the Minigame Vertical team in collaboration with the wider analytics org. In this role, partnering with our internal data platform and data science teams, you will use data to generate player behavior insights and improve feature performance; from data modeling and event tracking, through to AB-testing, insightful analyses and recommendations that answer the game’s most complex and challenging questions. This is an individual contributor role, that has a lot of independence and responsibility, with building processes and taking end to end analytics projects

  • Data Analysis: Dive deep into large, complex data sets to extract actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Analyze player behavior, game performance, and trends to inform product strategies and optimizations
  • Game Team Support: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges to the specific game vertical.  Define key metrics, establish data collection processes, implement analytical frameworks and effectively communicate the insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Ownership of Analysis: Take ownership of end-to-end analytical projects, from the inception of a new feature to ensure robust reporting and monitoring is in place, to design and assess A/B experimentation and deliver final insights, interpretations and presentations. 
  • Drive the execution of analytical initiatives with precision and attention to detail
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization, to translate data insights into impactful business outcomes.
  • Product Roadmap Influence: Partner to shape the future direction of the game
  • Digging Deep: Hands-on exploration into existing reports and data, correlation of KPIs, definition of success for the Vertical, to identify the needs and gaps and actively work towards the improvements. Leverage data-driven insights to prioritize features, optimize game economies, and refine product roadmaps for maximum player engagement and satisfaction
  • Presentation and Communication: Effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Present insights in a clear, concise manner through compelling presentations and reports

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for continuous learning in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative environment
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence related role. Gaming industry background is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and comfort working with large data sets – exposure with BigQuery and Python/R experience a plus
  • Working Knowledge of visualization tools: Looker (Preferred), Qlikview, Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate complex results throughout an organization
  • A love for or strong desire to work with mobile games

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
