As a Senior QA Engineer on the core team, you'll be testing Playrix's custom game engine, a Unity-like system used for developing crucial game modules (code generation, Lua integration, scene graph, profiling tools, physics integration). Responsibilities include testing the engine and editor, constructing and maintaining test models, analyzing new features, creating test cases using various design techniques, writing bug reports, improving product quality, and contributing to automation processes. You'll work within a collaborative environment and have a significant impact on a globally successful product.

Team, about the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the testing team for our custom game engine, which we use to develop system modules. These modules include code generation, Lua integration, scene graph organization, memory and performance profilers, and physics engine integration. We have strong and well-coordinated testing and development teams, which will allow you to quickly familiarize yourself with the specifics of the product and grow professionally.

Tasks

Participating in the testing of a large-scale product—a Unity-like engine and editor);
Testing in your area of responsibility;
Constructing and supporting a test model;
Test analysis of new features;
Creating test cases using various test design techniques;
Preparing bug reports, localizing defects;
Participate in improving product quality and testing automation processes.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in testing;
Experience in testing complex systems with a high amount of functionality (tools without UI, IDE, game engines, backend of complex desktop applications, embedded systems software);
Knowledge of programming languages;
Ability to apply test design techniques;
Knowledge of test types and their application methods;
Ability to draw up test plans, checklists, and test cases;
Understanding of software architecture;
Experience with TMS and Git;
Experience analyzing the information necessary to effectively cover functionality with test cases;
Experience working in agile teams.
