The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and test high-quality products. Responsibilities include creating test plans and cases, identifying and tracking defects, designing and executing automation scripts, performing manual backend testing, conducting root cause analysis, and documenting test scenarios. The engineer will also stay updated on technology trends and enhance testing processes. The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytical, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a user-focused mindset.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant fields
- Knowledge of Software QA Automation methodologies
- Backend Testing and Auto frameworks experience
- Solid SQL knowledge
- Coding/scripting capability (Java preferred)
- Root cause analysis experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities
- Work closely with team members (developers, product manager, customer support and partners) to develop, test and deliver high quality products.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Prevent, collect, analyze and track product defects.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
- Hands-on manual investigation and reproduction of functional Backend software issues.
- Root cause analysis of existing test script failures, product issues.
- Identification of current test script deficiencies and candidates for additional scripted coverage.
- Investigatory testing of unreleased features including defining requirements, behavior and impact.
- Documentation and design of candidate test scenarios for the above.
- Stay ahead with the latest technology trends, persistently enhancing the team's testing process, methodologies, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant fields.
- Prior knowledge in block chain and exchange related domain would be highly advantageous.
- Competence in designing, writing and executing comprehensive testing plans and test cases.
- Strong knowledge of Software QA Automation methodologies, Backend Testing, Auto frameworks and design processes.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, Hands on solid coding / writing script capability (Java preferred).
- Experience in functional testing for web and mobile applications is a big plus.
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues impacting software quality.
- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
- Self-managed, proactive work style. Able to work independently within a team centric environment.
- Enjoys breaking things and solving problems - not just able to find out the 'what', but also the 'why.'
- User Focused mindset, demonstrate good logical thinking and seamless team communication skills.
