Job Description
Aera Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to join their engineering team. The role involves developing and architecting the enterprise cloud platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and influencing product direction. Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining efficient code, translating requirements into applications, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, researching new technologies, and participating in all phases of the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in server-side development, deep knowledge of Java Core, JavaEE Web, Spring, caching techniques, Spring Boot, ORM frameworks, Microservices, REST APIs, GIT, Gradle, and Linux. Experience with Kafka, REDIS, Elastic search, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL development, data modeling, and building secure, scalable APIs is highly desirable. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic approach are essential.
Must have:
- 8+ years of server-side development experience
- Strong Java Core and JavaEE Web knowledge
- Proficiency in Spring and caching techniques
- Experience with Spring Boot, ORM, Microservices, REST APIs
- Experience with GIT, Gradle, and Linux
- Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Mockito
- Solid understanding of writing testable code
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Good to have:
- Experience with Kafka, REDIS, Elastic search, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with SQL development and data modeling
- Experience building secure, complex, and scalable APIs
- Experience with streaming data and complex event processing systems

We’re looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to join our world-class engineering team and become instrumental in the development and architecture of our enterprise cloud platform. As a Senior Software Engineer/Tech lead you will collaborate with other architects, designers, product managers and software developers to influence product direction and functional requirements, and deliver complex high performance, scalable software products and APIs.
Responsibities:
- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and automation
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs in applications, and devise solutions to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Research and learn new technologies to design code reviews and application enhancements/upgrades
- Collaborate cross-functionally as a key contributor in all phases of the development life-cycle
- Create and execute unit test cases and contribute to test automation
- Participate in design and code reviews
About you:
- 8+ years experience in with server-side developing with a proven track record of delivering great software
- You can discuss design patterns, memory management and performance optimization.
- You can write code from the ground up without needing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Java Core and JavaEE Web(multi-threading, collections, transactions…), Spring, and caching techniques
- Experience working on Spring Boot, ORM Frameworks, Microservices and REST APIs, GIT, Gradle and Linux platforms.
- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito
- Experience with Kafka, REDIS, Elastic search, Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus
- Experience with SQL development, data modeling and complex data structures for high-volume and high-velocity data
- Experience building secure, complex, and scalable APIs, from design through deployment.
- Solid understanding of writing and delivering testable quality code, from the ground up
- Experience with streaming data and complex event processing systems is a plus.
