Job Description
Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer - Java. This role involves developing and implementing crypto-related products such as exchanges, fiat gateways, futures, and lending. The engineer will lead the creation of highly scalable systems, driving infrastructure and architecture upgrades. Responsibilities include hands-on involvement in architecture decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation, as well as setting up and maintaining system infrastructure. This is an opportunity to lead global greenfield projects impacting millions of users and manage a talented team.
Must have:
- 9+ years of experience in software development lifecycle
- 2+ years of engineering leadership/management experience
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and Spring framework
- Expertise in MySQL and at least one NoSQL database
- Proficient in distributed system design
- Knowledge of messaging middleware and design principles
- Strong cross-team communication skills
Good to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven track record of leading teams to deliver high business impact in fast-moving environments

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement crypto-related products such as crypto exchange, fiat gateway, futures, margin, lending and more.
- Lead the creation of systems that will scale 100x, driving transformative infrastructure and architecture upgrades.
- Lead and guide day-to-day development activities through hands-on involvement in architecture decisions, designs, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
- Set up and maintain system infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 9+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership/management position.
- Proven track record of leading teams to deliver high business impact and breakthrough results in fast-moving environments.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and familiarity with the Spring framework.
- Expertise in MySQL and experience with at least one NoSQL database.
- Proficient in distributed system design and knowledge of at least one messaging middleware and its design principles.
- Strong cross-team communication skills.
