The Senior Tax Analyst will manage global tax compliance, execute international planning, and handle transfer pricing policies. Responsibilities include managing tax compliance for the UK group and other income tax compliances outside of North America, tracking legislative changes, coordinating tax matters across departments, assisting in tax considerations for geographic expansion, managing intercompany agreements, assisting in tax audits, preparing transfer pricing documentation, and overseeing global transfer pricing calculations. The role requires strong organizational, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Mimecast is seeking a passionate and detail oriented Senior Tax Analyst to support the execution of our global strategic tax compliance and other initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of International Tax, the Senior Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing tax compliance and executing our international planning and transfer pricing policies.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the first point of contact for external service providers to share requested information and review tax computations for UK group and other income tax compliances outside of North America;
  • Managing applications for certificates of residency for non-US entities;
  • Track global legislative and regulatory changes; assess and discuss with the tax team on any impact to Mimecast’s operations and tax strategy;
  • Coordinate non-US tax matters on cross-functional initiatives with other departments;
  • Assist in advising business partners on tax considerations of geographic expansion plans / assist with implementing new transfer pricing and/or structuring as appropriate;
  • Manage global intercompany agreements, partnering with legal, external advisors local finance teams;
  • Assist in non-US tax audits, including responding to non-US income tax notices;
  • Preparation of one-off transfer pricing documentation and initial review of externally prepared transfer pricing documentation;
  • Oversee global transfer pricing calculations on a monthly / quarterly basis;
  • Manage / Assist in special projects as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years tax experience, at a multi-national corporation or large tax consulting practice;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience;
  • Experience in UK corporate tax laws and compliance;
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technology;
  • Impressive organizational skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and reliably to all partners.

Desirable:

  • Qualified ACCA or CPA or in the process of obtaining certification; Knowledge / experience in international tax;
