The Senior Technical Producer will lead highly talented software teams in building reusable, scalable, and robust solutions on our spatial computing platform. This hands-on role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure high standards in execution, quality, security, and documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in public and military sectors, managing complex software development projects and technologies, with proficiency in project and risk management.
Must have:
  • More than 10 years of experience in software development, with a substantial portion in the public and military sectors.
  • Experience managing the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high standards.
  • Extensive experience leading highly technical development teams and managing new and advanced technologies, from initial requirements development, through design, execution, testing and delivery.
  • Experience in project management techniques and risk management, possessing organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of successful program closure and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teamwork and collaboration – evidenced by working successfully with remote co-workers.
  • Leads stakeholder engagement and participates in development of technical requirements and specifications. Ensures security controls and best practices are integrated.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled software developers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to review technical solutions and the work of others to ensure compliance, conformance to requirements, and high quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering).
  • Background in programming languages (C++, C#, Python, Java, Shell, Go, PHP, Delphi, Unity, Unreal).
  • This position requires the candidate to be a US citizen.
  • Able and willing to work on-site at our office in Ashburn, VA as required for this position.
Good to have:
  • Advanced degree in the software technical field is preferred.
  • Experience with government software security requirements and industry regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC, CISA).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
