Job Summary
NVIDIA video team in Shanghai focuses on algorithm, architecture, and HW design of video/CV solutions for all NVIDIA products. The role involves building world-class video codec IP due to strong demand for reducing video bandwidth and increasing video quality. Responsibilities include working on next-generation Video Decoder and Encoder hardware architecture, researching new video compression technology, developing c-models for algorithm study, hardware simulation, and verification, and defining test plans.
Must Have
- Master degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in video technology ranging from codec, implementation, pre/post-processing, rate control and etc.
- Good programming skill and C/C++ coding abilities
- Fluent English (both written and spoken) and good communication skill
Good to Have
- Project experiences in video encoder, decoder or computer vision
- Experience with video codec such as H264, HEVC, VP9, AV1 or VVC
- Experience with DL video/image processing
- Creative, strong analysis, design and debug skill
Job Description
NVIDIA video team is located in Shanghai, focuses on algorithm, architecture and HW design of video/CV solutions in all NVIDIA products, including datacenter, desktop, automotive, embedded system, etc. More than 80% of global internet traffic is video stream and it’s still growing. There’s a strong demand for reducing video bandwidth and increasing video quality. We are looking for architecture engineers to build the world’s class video codec IP.
What you'll be doing:
- Work on NVIDIA's next generation of Video Decoder and Encoder hardware architecture.
- Research and study new video compression technology, specifications, papers etc.
- Develop c-model for algorithm study, hardware simulation and verification.
- Define the testplan, write architecture document, verify c-model and improve model coverage.
What we need to see:
- Master degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering.
