The SOC Analyst I monitors and analyzes an infrastructure for security threats. You will use a variety of security tools and technologies to detect and respond to potential attacks, and they also work to improve the organization's overall security posture.
Must have:
  • Monitors and analyzes security logs and alerts for suspicious activity
  • Investigates security incidents and reports findings to senior analysts
  • Responds to security incidents by following established incident response playbooks
  • Performs vulnerability assessments and risk assessments
  • Stays up to date on the latest security threats and trends
  • Position requires being part of an on call rotation
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in a SOC or similar role

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (In office required)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors and analyzes security logs and alerts for suspicious activity
  • Investigates security incidents and reports findings to senior analysts
  • Responds to security incidents by following established incident response playbooks
  • Performs vulnerability assessments and risk assessments
  • Stays up to date on the latest security threats and trends
  • Position requires being part of an on call rotation

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a SOC or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
