Join us at Autodesk as a Software Engineer to solve technical challenges and user problems in an Agile development environment. You will contribute to the definition and development of manufacturing products, working within a Scrum team to review customer issues, architect solutions, and implement them. Responsibilities include collaborating on design, development, and maintenance of complex features, producing clean code, debugging, and adhering to Agile methodologies.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with teams of engineers to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, deliver and maintain complex features and new subsystems.
  • Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code in adherence with internal standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug code in an efficient and systematic manner.
  • Actively participate in a Scrum team while adhering to Agile methodologies.
  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, ideally C++.
Good to have:
  • Experience with C++, including the standard library, Qt and Boost.
  • Experience with user interface design and development.
  • Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems.
  • Experience writing software in a commercial environment as part of a team.
  • Knowledge about CAD/CAM.

Position Overview

Do you enjoy solving technical challenges while helping to resolve real problems for users? Are you passionate about engaging with colleagues across the globe and working in an Agile development environment? If so come and join us!

In this position, you will play an important role in the definition and development of technologies that make up our manufacturing products. You will use your knowledge and enthusiasm on projects covering all aspects of the software development process. You will join a Scrum team and actively contribute to the team’s success by reviewing and assessing customer problems, architecting and implementing solutions and presenting the results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams of engineers to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, deliver and maintain complex features and new subsystems
  • Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code in adherence with internal standards
  • Troubleshoot and debug code in an efficient and systematic manner
  • Actively participate in a Scrum team while adhering to Agile methodologies
  • Work alongside senior software engineers to develop industry leading solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Computer Science (preferred), Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with a passion to learn
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, ideally C++
  • Additional Useful Experience

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of our competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $91,800 and $158,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
