Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Pixel Camera team. Responsibilities include collecting Camera Apps data for power/performance/memory analysis, developing automation for testing and optimization, and collaborating with teams to enhance the Camera Apps experience. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of software development experience using various programming languages, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with Unix/Linux platforms, Android, and C++ or C is preferred. This role involves working on projects crucial to Google's needs, with opportunities for team and project switching. The engineer will contribute to the development of next-generation technologies impacting billions of users.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years software development experience
  • Data structures and algorithms knowledge
  • Camera Apps data analysis
  • Test automation development
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science
  • Unix/Linux and Android experience
  • C++ or C programming proficiency

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux platforms, including Android.
  • Experience in C++ OR C.
