Job Description

This role involves building complex, large-scale client applications and distributed systems for data collection, aggregation, transformation, and distribution. Responsibilities include taking ownership of entire projects, software design, meeting deadlines, handling complex data structures and multi-threading. Some roles may also involve reverse engineering software to collect user behavioral data and mentoring new team members.
Must have:
  • 1-3 years coding experience
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Knowledge of COM, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols
  • Experience developing software in multi-processing environments (e.g., Hadoop, GRID, MPI)
  • Experience with multi-threaded programming

About This Role:

Builds complex, large-scale client applications and large distributed systems that collect, aggregate, transform and distribute data for further analysis. Some roles develop components that run on PCs and collect large volumes of user behavioral data. More senior roles design, coordinate and implement product development initiatives, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the designs and development of world-class system capability. May serve as technical consultant to other teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Take responsibility for entire projects; involved in software design; takes full responsibility for assigned project; responsible for meeting set deadlines
  • Handle complex data structures and multi-threading
  • Reverse engineer software to collect user behavioral data (some roles)
  • Mentor and train new team members
  • May have limited external client interaction

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years coding experience and working with large data sets
  • Able to collaborate across multiple teams
  • Knowledge of COM, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols; J2ME and/or specific mobile operating systems and ability to reverse engineer code may be required for some roles
  • Experience developing software in multi-processing environments (i.e. Hadoop, GRID, MPI) and/or multi-threaded programming
  • Able to self-motivated and work independently
  • Willingness to learn and become an expert in assigned area
  • Able to seek and provide constructive feedback
