Job Description

As a Software Engineer II at TFL, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work in an agile environment, contributing to complex projects and utilizing front-end and back-end technologies to enhance user interfaces and optimize back-end systems. This role is crucial for advancing ticketing solutions and reshaping the event experience. You'll be involved in leading and collaborating with teams to architect robust solutions, designing and optimizing high-quality software applications, enhancing user interface aesthetics, and driving the evolution of back-end systems and APIs. You will contribute to code reviews, participate in test planning, and actively engage in agile development processes.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field with industry experience
  • 3-6 years of software engineering work experience
  • Proficient in advanced software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures
  • Mastery of object-oriented programming languages such as C#
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of server-side technologies and database management systems
  • Experience with Cloud Computing Services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving prowess and a track record of swiftly mastering new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proclivity for teamwork and collaborative environments
  • Prior experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is essential
  • A passion for solving problems and eagerness to contribute meaningfully to the company's objectives
Good to have:
  • Experience in C#/.NET
  • Experience in front-end technology stacks (Javascript, React, SCSS)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Platform
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in deployment automation and IaC (infrastructure as code)
  • Familiarity with the event ticketing industry

Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):

  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect robust solutions that align with user needs and business objectives
  • Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications, adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Enhance user interface aesthetics and functionality for our digital platforms, ensuring optimal user engagement
  • Drive the evolution of our back-end systems and APIs, which are foundational to our sophisticated ticketing infrastructure
  • Actively contribute to code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, efficiency, and maintainability
  • Develop quality products by participating in test planning and test automation discussions
  • Participate in agile development processes, including work item refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements to infuse cutting-edge solutions into our products and services


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, complemented by industry experience
  • 3-6 years of demonstrated software engineering work experience
  • Proficient in advanced software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures
  • Mastery of object-oriented programming languages such as C#
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) is expected
  • In-depth knowledge of server-side technologies and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Olympus, Mongo DB)
  • Experience with Cloud Computing Services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving prowess and a track record of swiftly mastering new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proclivity for teamwork and collaborative environments
  • Prior experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is essential
  • A passion for solving problems and eagerness to contribute meaningfully to the company's objectives


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in C#/.NET
  • Experience in front-end technology stacks (Javascript, React, SCSS with experience in Tailwind, Webpack, et al)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Platform
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in deployment automation and IaC (infrastructure as code)
  • Familiarity with the event ticketing industry
