Job Description

Google Cloud is looking for a Software Engineer III, AI Infrastructure to design, develop, and maintain software components for AI lineage collection, processing, and analysis. You will analyze AI workflows to identify gaps in lineage data and propose solutions, collaborate with engineers from other teams to integrate lineage collection into existing and new AI infrastructure, and develop tools and systems to summarize, visualize, and query lineage data. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and reliable data processing pipelines, participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving engineering best practices.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
  • 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure
  • Experience programming in Ruby, Python, Java, or C++
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
  • Experience developing accessible technologies
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure and workflows
  • Knowledge of graph algorithms and graph databases
  • Knowledge of data lineage concepts

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience with Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
  • 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging).
  • Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Ruby, Python, Java, C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure and workflows.
  • Knowledge of graph algorithms and graph databases.
  • Knowledge of data lineage concepts.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
