About the role/team

Hermes is a team within our Ecosystem Tribe dedicated to developing complex modules, or “apps”, for our automation platform. This includes amongst others the Data Store, which enables data persistence within the scenarios, and Make AI Tools, which integrates AI capabilities into our workflows.

Alongside two other app teams that focus on building apps using the Make SDK, Hermes specializes in developing apps with TypeScript. Together, we aim to integrate Make with any third-party services our users require. We collaborate closely with the Apps Platform team, which provides the infrastructure for building and running SDK-based apps.

What you’ll do

• Develop advanced apps and modules for our automation platform.
• Collaborate with the Apps Platform and other app teams to drive technical excellence.
• Embrace automation - especially with AI.
• Design, build, and optimize features for scalability, performance, and usability.

What we expect from you

You produce readable, well-documented, and tested code. You can have a funded technical discussion and back your opinions with facts and data. You are a team player.

In particular, we’d like you to have the following:

• Proven experience with NodeJS and Typescript (3+ years)
• Experience with relational databases (MongoDB and PostgreSQL preferred)
• Optionally, experience with Docker, software containerization, and microservices architectures
• Proficient in both verbal and written English (we’re an international team)
• Agile mindset and experience in methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
