The Product-Led Growth (PLG) team at Toast Web owns key surfaces across the Toast web experience—from discovery to re-engagement. We focus on increasing customer activation, conversion, and retention through experimentation, performance improvements, and targeted features. We build and iterate quickly, test ideas at scale, and obsess over insights from our metrics.

We’re looking for a product-minded engineer who’s excited to work across the stack, learn from a talented team, and ship impactful features that drive measurable growth. If you enjoy solving real-world problems through experimentation and thoughtful design, this role is for you.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

You’ll join a cross-functional team focused on growth loops, optimising guest funnels, and accelerating customer success through innovation. You’ll:

• Build scalable, performant web features across guest and restaurant-facing surfaces
• Contribute to projects that incorporate AI-powered insights and personalisation to improve user experience and conversion.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Data Science to validate ideas, define experiments, and ship features that drive impact.
• Help identify friction points and contribute to experiments that improve acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
• Learn and apply best practices in frontend and backend development, testing, and performance
  Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and retrospectives as an engaged team member
  
  

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• 2–4 years of experience as a Frontend or Fullstack developer
• Strong frontend skills (React preferred) and solid fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Some experience building backend services using Node.js, Java, or Kotlin
• Exposure to product analytics tools like Amplitude, Heap, or GA
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks or interest in learning experimentation best practices
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn from others
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Interest in how AI can improve user journeys and personalisation

Bonus Ingredients

• Experience contributing to PLG or growth-focused teams
• Exposure to GraphQL
• Exposure to CI/CD, observability tools, or AWS
• Interest in design systems or component reuse
