Job Description

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the NICE CX software platform. This includes all tiers of the technology, with a focus on product and feature development, unit testing, code reviews, defect resolution, production environment support, and assisting other developers in an agile environment. The role involves evaluating and implementing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and applying security best practices. Understanding of CI/CD practices and automation improvements is also key. The team works with the flagship Studio development tool and explores next-generation work including AI.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience in C#, .NET, Angular, JavaScript, SQL
  • Experience with AWS (IAM, DynamoDB, Lambda)
  • Knowledge of design patterns, unit testing, and agile methodologies
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Problem-solving skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with GitHub Actions
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot AI
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Experience with Playwright
  • Experience with Microservice Architecture

So, what’s the role all about?

 

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests and maintains the NICE CX software platform. Key responsibilities include all tiers of the NICE CX technology, including (but not limited to) design and development of NICE CX products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes. 

The Software Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the NICE inContact software platform. 

About the team:  On this team, not only will you be working with other fantastic engineers,  you will be working with our flagship Studio development tool, and will have a chance to dig into next generation work including AI

 

How will you make an impact?  

  • Evaluate and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues in production and development environments.
  • Understand and apply security best practices in coding and deployment
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and automation improvements.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering complex software projects
  • Experience in C#, .NET, Angular, JavaScript, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Experience with AWS, including IAM, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including design patterns, unit testing, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and data warehousing
  • Problem-solving skills
