The Role:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to our developer-focused web application (Fireworks.ai) and help evolve our front-end architecture. This role offers the opportunity to work on a product with immediate impact, collaborate across functions, and grow as a front-end or full-stack engineer in a high-paced, AI-focused environment. You’ll be building features that directly improve the experience for our hundreds of thousands of developers and help shape how users interact with our suite of generative AI models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of Fireworks.ai and our model playground with a focus on delivering a seamless developer experience
• Design, implement, and test responsive and performant web applications using modern front-end technologies
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to understand requirements and deliver high-quality user-facing features
• Help build and maintain scalable component libraries and shared UI systems
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team processes to drive engineering quality and team growth
• Stay current with front-end trends and best practices to continuously improve our developer surfaces

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building and shipping production web applications
• Understanding of responsive design, component-based architecture, and UX fundamentals
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in full-stack development and working with APIs
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to accessibility best practices and internationalization
• Interest in generative AI or developer tools
• Startup experience or prior contributions to internal or open-source component libraries
