Job Description

As a Specialist Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of product features, ensuring technical quality and adherence to specifications. You will collaborate with the Software Architect, mentor junior engineers, and dedicate 85% of your time to producing high-quality, well-tested code. Your impact will include developing new user-facing features using React.js, building reusable front-end libraries, translating designs into code, optimizing performance, and converting business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Familiarity with CICD pipeline.
Must Have:
  • Lead day-to-day design and implementation tasks for the product.
  • Accountable for technical implementation meeting design specifications for functionality and quality.
  • Work closely with the Software Architect to define design specifications and guidelines.
  • Serve as a technical lead and mentor for junior engineers on the team.
  • Produce high-quality, well-tested code 85% of the time.
  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across web-capable devices and browsers.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
  • 8+ years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
  • Knowledge of AWS, S3 and Lambda.
  • Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Redux, and Flux.
  • Experience with user interface design.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, and tools like Postman.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools & code versioning tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Specialist Software Engineer, you will be accountable to the product Software Architect for the technical implementation and ensure that it meets the design specifications for functionality and quality.
  • You will work closely with the Software Architect to define the design specifications and guidelines and serve as a technical lead and mentor for the junior engineers on the team.
  • It is expected that you will be producing high-quality, well-tested code 85% of the time with the remaining time spent in design discussions, mentoring sessions, and technology reviews.

Have you got what it takes?
