Job Description

As a Sr. Engineer Automation - SOAR, you will be a skilled technical and consultative resource, adept in both technical and soft skills. This role requires a proactive, problem-solving individual capable of contributing to diverse project teams and effectively interfacing with customers and partners. You will leverage your expertise in security, operating systems, server applications, and SIEM products to make a significant impact. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing automation solutions using Python, SOAP/REST APIs, and SOAR platforms, alongside authoring critical process documentation.
Must have:
  • General security knowledge and certifications (GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +).
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of server applications like DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL.
  • Experience with SIEM products (QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, Exabeam, Sentinel, ArcSight, LogRhythm) and infrastructure components (proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP).
  • Experience with internal and client ticketing and knowledge base systems (Service Now, Jira, Confluence).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of expert-level proficiency with Python.
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of security scripting, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML.
  • 4+ years of experience with SOAR platforms (Swimlane, Phantom, Cortex XSOAR, Exabeam SOAR, ThreatConnect SOAR).
  • Authored SOC SOPs, playbooks, work instructions, and/or other process documents.
  • Familiarity with Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and/or Elastic Domain Specific Language (DSL) and/or regex.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening.

An engineer must be driven and proactive with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues.

How you'll make an impact

  • General security knowledge (GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +, or other security certifications).
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • An understanding of a wide array of server grade applications such as: DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others.
  • Experience with various SIEM security products such as: QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, Exabeam, Sentinel, ArcSight, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.
  • Experience working with Internal and client Ticketing and Knowledge Base Systems for Incident and Problem tracking as well as procedures. (i.e. Service Now, Jira, Confluence, etc.).

What we are looking for
