Job Description

This role is for a driven and proactive Sr. SOAR Engineer, responsible for leveraging strong technical and consultative skills to problem-solve and communicate effectively within diverse project teams. The engineer will interface with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues, focusing on security operations, automation, and incident response using SOAR platforms. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing security solutions, managing ticketing systems, and contributing to security documentation.

Must Have:
  • General security knowledge
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Understanding of server-grade applications (DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL)
  • Experience with SIEM security products (QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, Exabeam, Sentinel, ArcSight, LogRhythm)
  • Experience with infrastructure components (proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP)
  • Experience with Ticketing and Knowledge Base Systems (Service Now, Jira, Confluence)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of expert-level proficiency with Python
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of Security related scripting, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML
  • 4+ years of experience with SOAR platforms (Swimlane, Phantom, Cortex XSOAR, Exabeam SOAR, ThreatConnect SOAR)
  • Authored SOC SOPs, playbooks, work instructions, and/or other process documents
  • Familiarity with Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and/or Elastic Domain Specific Language (DSL) and/or regex

How you'll make an impact

  • General security knowledge (GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +, or other security certifications).
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • An understanding of a wide array of server grade applications such as: DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others.
  • Experience with various SIEM security products such as: QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, Exabeam, Sentinel, ArcSight, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.
  • Experience working with Internal and client Ticketing and Knowledge Base Systems for Incident and Problem tracking as well as procedures. (i.e. Service Now, Jira, Confluence, etc.).

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required
  • 5+ years of expert-level proficiency with Python
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of Security related scripting, Python, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML
