The Senior Email Marketing and Analytics Manager will lead and manage a team of email marketing managers and copywriters to grow digital storefront and subscription businesses. Responsibilities include creating, building, scheduling, and optimizing email campaigns. The role involves reporting on marketing efforts, communicating findings to non-technical audiences, and collaborating with various teams. Also, managing CRM targeting, running A/B tests, and staying updated on industry trends. This role requires the candidate to manage the whole email marketing program from start to finish, execute ad hoc reporting, and assist with future email software migrations.

About the Role:
Humble Bundle is hiring a Senior Email Marketing and Analytics Manager to help grow and report on our digital storefront and subscription businesses. This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated, technically savvy marketer who can build the strategy for one of our largest marketing channels and oversee our reporting capabilities. You’ll create, optimize and report on marketing efforts focused on driving revenue and delivering clear and compelling content about our products.

 

Join a lean but hugely impactful growth marketing team spanning paid ads, email, affiliates, partnerships and promotional growth marketing.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team consisting of email marketing manager(s), copywriter, and facilitate the relationship with our Corporate analytics partners; provide guidance and support in their day-to-day activities by providing strategic direction and technical assistance.
  • Own our email marketing program from start to finish: creating, building, scheduling and optimizing campaigns as well as establishing and tracking goals measuring email performance.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences, serving as the primary owner of our email channel.
  • Execute ad hoc reporting through database queries and dashboard analytics.
  • Establish and maintain CRM targeting to ensure customers get the right email at the right time while seeking opportunities to create and implement new audience segments, while supporting the continued engagement of our customer lists.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing, business development and other stakeholders to ensure marketing emails are sent accurately and on-time while maintaining our email quality assurance standards.
  • Run A/B and multivariate tests to optimize email performance while increasing KPIs. 
  • Work closely with the digital design and copywriting teams to craft compelling assets that support our email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal partners at IGN, Gamer Network, and other brands to build cross-marketing campaigns that support growth and sales across Ziff Davis owned organizations.
  • Own the relationship with our email service provider.
  • Assist with future email software migrations from end to end including but not limited to vendor outreach, RFPs, vendor selection and implementation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in the email marketing and analytics disciplines, while implementing prudent changes as needed.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing and A/B and multivariate testing.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience with email marketing automation tools such as Cordial, Braze, Iterable, Aprimo, Adobe Campaign, etc.
  • Experience measuring performance and ROI across multiple business verticals and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
  • Familiar with Google Analytics, Excel, and other analytics tools.
  • Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
  • Experience in ecommerce is a plus.
Work Environment: 
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F. There is no expectation for this role to work weekends, holidays, or odd hours. 
  • Travel Requirements: This role will require travel 1-2 times each year for on-site meetings, industry events and conferences.
  • Physical Requirements: This role involves standard computer and office based activities, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer. Occasional travel is required, which could include lifting and carrying materials, and navigating airports, hotels, and other venues.   • Work Model: For applicants who reside in or around Los Angeles or New York, there will be a requirement to go into our offices 2-3 days per week. For others located in different areas around the United States, this position will be remote.

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base salary for this position ranges from $100-120k, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
