We are seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Technical Operations Specialist to oversee the operations and functioning of our Detection & Response team within our internal security organization. This role is critical to ensuring streamlined SOC operations, effective RCA processes, and timely implementation of cutting-edge security projects. You will be reporting to the Director of Detection & Response, working as an individual contributor you will be responsible for the following:

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Leadership - Oversee RCA activities, including documentation, corrective actions, and reporting; implement measures to prevent future incidents and analyze trends through dashboards and metrics
  • Project Management - Utilize Agile methodologies for security engineering teams, focusing on sprint planning, backlog management, iteration reviews, and process improvement recommendations
  • Security Technology Specialist - Lead security engineering projects, spanning security technology, detection engineering, and automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams for goal alignment

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 7+ years in technical operations, program management, or security-related roles, ideally within security engineering or incident response environments
  • Strong knowledge of security incident response, threat analysis, and risk management principles
  • Proficient in agile project management (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) using tools like Asana and JIRA, and experienced with RCA methodologies such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams
  • Demonstrated strengths in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication
  • US citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role
