Job Description
We are seeking a Staff SW QA Engineer - FMQA with a focus on functional testing and automation. You will be responsible for developing and improving the overall testing approach and strategy, including system testing with an emphasis on automation for customer use cases, scalability, and performance. The role involves designing, developing, and automating Functional, Usability, Performance, Scaling, and Stress Testing suites, as well as delivering test automation code and driving improvements. Additionally, you will identify and evangelize opportunities to enhance engineering productivity.
Must have:
- Develop and improve testing approach and strategy
- Design and automate functional, usability, performance, scaling, and stress tests
- Deliver test automation code and drive improvements
- BS in CS or related field
- 6+ years of quality, development, or automation experience
- Experience with test automation frameworks (Robot, Python) and tools (Cypress)
- Experience testing UI/UX performance and usability
- Experience in systems test and QA processes
- Knowledge of network management concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, L2/L3, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, REST)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, REST services
- Experience validating deliverables in virtualized environments
- Hands-on experience creating test beds for customer use cases, scalability, and performance testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for delivering quality products
Good to have:
- Technical knowledge of vCenter, VMware ESXi
- Technical knowledge of Elasticsearch, HA-Proxy
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Amazon, etc.)
- Experience with network testing equipment (Spirent, XENA, TREX)

Description
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the functional test teams in developing and improving overall testing approach and strategy.
- Work with team for system testing strategy with focus on automation including but not limited to customer use case centric as well as scalability and performance testing
- Design, develop and completely automating Functional, Usability, Performance, Scaling and Stress Testing suites.
- Deliver test automation code and help in driving improvements to our automation coverage.
- Identifying, leveraging, and successfully evangelizing opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
- BS in CS or related field
- 6+ years of hands-on quality, development and/or automation experience in virtualization and networking space
- Hand-on experience with various test automation framework (Robot, Python) and test automation tools (Cypress)
- Demonstrated experience in testing UI/UX performance and usability
- Experienced in various aspects of systems test, and in QA processes
- Knowledge of network management concepts and basic protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, REST)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP layer, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL protocols, REST services and hands on experience on testing them.
- Experience in validating deliverables in virtualized environments
- Hands on experience in creating test beds for customer use case centric as well as scalability and performance testing
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a true passion for delivering quality products
Nice to have:
- Technical knowledge of current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards, including vCenter, VMware ESXi
- Technical knowledge of Elasticsearch, HA-Proxy
- Working knowledge of Amazon and other cloud platforms and environments
- Experience with network testing equipment such as Spirent, XENA, TREX
