Job Summary

This position is for a Strategic Portfolio Leader at Marks, responsible for the strategic and commercial ownership of the portfolio, including growth, profitability, and workflow optimization. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring client satisfaction, developing growth opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships. It requires a leader who can actively partner with Marks & SGX Shared Service leaders and practitioners.

Must Have

  • Commercial and strategic ownership of portfolio, growing out the capabilities and clients
  • Manage cross functional teams including Global Client Leads, Global Programme Leads, Account Directors, Account Managers and Project Managers
  • Maintain the highest standards of client satisfaction while developing growth opportunities
  • Help develop standard and customized “ways of working” for Marks
  • Own the overall client relationships ensuring critical insights and opportunities are developed
  • Be an active and committed partner to the Marks & SGX Shared Service leaders and practitioners
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
  • More than 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience
  • Deep experience in Design and/or Advertising Agency
  • Experience managing multi-level, client facing teams
  • Strong “client-hands” and experience leading account teams
  • Demonstrated ability to excel at leading teams, developing talent, and working through others
  • Demonstrated ability to excel as a teammate on a portfolio leadership team
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills
  • Exceptional empathy, compassion, and ability to connect with all
  • Proven ability to exercise personal discipline, discretion, and appropriate emotional management

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to be the strategic portfolio leader for Marks. Owning the ultimate output of the portfolio including growth, profitability, and workflow optimization.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Commercial and strategic ownership of portfolio, growing out the capabilities and clients.
  • Manage your cross functional teams including Global Client Leads, Global Programme Leads, Account Directors, Account Managers and Project Managers, helping them to reach revenue, profit and client service goals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of client satisfaction while developing growth opportunities with your region.
  • Help develop standard and customized “ways of working” for Marks to enable revenue and profit goals.
  • Own the over all client relationships ensuring critical insights and opportunities are developed while insuring we remain top of mind with key client cross functional contacts.
  • Be an active and committed partner to the Marks & SGX Shared Service leaders and practitioners.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university, and more than 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep experience in Design and/or Advertising Agency
  • Experience managing multi-level, client facing teams.
  • Strong “client-hands” and experience leading account teams.
  • P&L experience preferred.
  • Regional experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel at leading teams, developing talent, and working through others to consistently deliver budgeted annual, quarterly, and monthly financial and operational results.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel as a teammate on a portfolio leadership team and to senior shared services leaders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay for this position is $250,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
