The Strategy Associate will be part of the Vietnam Commercial team, focusing on Omni-commerce to shape Grab's offline-to-online (O2O) ecosystem. Responsibilities include developing go-to-market strategies, conducting market research, collaborating with restaurant partners, and overseeing the launch of new services. The role involves working with product, marketing, and sales teams, analyzing performance, and scaling successful projects. The associate will work onsite in HCMC and contribute to building growth engines for Grab, focusing on enhancing user engagement and providing measurable impact to merchant partners. The role reports to the Head, GrabMart & Omnicommerce.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy/business development.
  • Experience in F&B industry and restaurant operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and SQL.

Get to Know the Team

As part of the Vietnam Commercial team, Omni-commerce is an exciting and fast-growing function focused on shaping Grab's offline-to-online (O2O) ecosystem. Our mission is to build integrated solutions where restaurants and merchants succeed by tapping into Grab's full suite of services — bridging the online and offline customer experience.

Get to Know the Role 

You will help build different O2O projects such as Dine Out Deals, Reservations, Loyalty Programs, and other Offline-to-Online solutions that enhance user engagement and bring measurable impact to our merchant partners.

From brainstorming and strategy to execution and scaling, you'll build new growth engines for Grab.

You will report to Head, GrabMart & Omnicommerce.

You will work onsite at HCMC.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • GTM Strategy Development:
    • Develop go-to-market strategies for new services within Omnicommerce.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps.
    • Define Indicators and success metrics for new projects.
  • Restaurant Operations Insights:
    • Collaborate with restaurant partners to understand their operational workflows, challenges, and needs.
    • Design solutions that improve operations and enhance restaurant efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to inform strategy.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure understanding on strategic goals.
    • Partner with data teams to analyze performance and increase strategies.
    • Coordinate with external team members, including restaurant owners and vendors.
  • Execution and Optimization:
    • Oversee the launch of new services, ensuring the smooth implementation.
    • Monitor performance metrics and gather feedback to refine strategies.
    • Scale successful projects across markets and regions.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or operations management.
    • Experience in F&B industry, and familiar with how restaurant operations works.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SQL) and project management
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field.
