Pikemann is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and planning for Canadian subsidiaries. This hybrid role, based in Seattle or Vancouver, involves managing Canadian tax provisions, responding to CRA inquiries, overseeing external service providers, and supporting strategic tax planning. The manager will collaborate with U.S. and global tax teams, legal, accounting, and business leadership to ensure compliance and drive optimization.
Must Have
- Lead Canadian federal and provincial tax return preparation and filing
- Prepare and review income tax provisions and financial disclosures
- Manage CRA audits and tax controversy strategies
- Support M&A due diligence and tax planning initiatives
- Research complex tax issues and draft supporting documentation
- Advise stakeholders on tax implications of strategic decisions
- Contribute to staff development and cross-functional collaboration
- CPA or Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation
- 7+ years in income tax compliance and financial reporting
- Deep knowledge of Canadian tax laws and cross-border tax issues
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Experience with ASC 740, U.S. GAAP, and SEC standards
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, OneSource

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you'll manage Canadian tax provisions, respond to CRA inquiries, oversee external service providers, and support strategic tax planning. You'll collaborate with U.S. And global tax teams, legal, accounting, and business leadership to ensure compliance and drive optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Canadian federal and provincial tax return preparation and filing
- Prepare and review income tax provisions and financial disclosures
- Manage CRA audits and tax controversy strategies
- Support M&A due diligence and tax planning initiatives

What We're Looking For
- CPA or Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation
