Job Description

The Technical Customer Engineer II is responsible for providing expert applications support and advice to distributors and customers for fluid dispensing and conformal coating applications. This includes understanding customer application requirements, developing process parameters, conducting demonstrations, generating reports, and making equipment recommendations. The role involves on-site equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair, as well as providing remote technical support and developing technical documentation. The engineer will also conduct in-house and on-site training. The job requires a confident communicator who can work with high-level customers and present to large audiences. This role will require travel.
Must have:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry, especially fluid dispensing & conformal coating
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
Good to have:
  • Process engineering experience in semiconductor packaging or wafer level packaging

Job Details

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fluid dispensing and conformal coating applications support and providing expert applications advices to our distributors and customers
  • Understand customers' applications requirements, develop suitable fluid dispensing/coating process parameters and recipes, and make appropriate recommendations to achieve their desired outcomes
  • Conduct fluid dispensing/coating applications and equipment demonstrations in the labs or customer site. Generate applications reports in support of pre and post sales activities.
  • Interface with customers in a professional manner to understand their applications issues and make appropriate dispensing/coating equipment recommendations to fulfill their needs
  • Conduct dispensing/coating applications and equipment training both in-house and on-site at customer locations
  • Deliver technical presentations at customer sites, trade shows, private road shows and technical symposiums
  • Conduct on-site equipment installation, validation and commissioning for customers
  • Conduct on-site equipment troubleshooting, service and repairs for customers
  • Provide remote technical support to customers and agents
  • Develop technical documentation on service and process issues
  • Create and maintain service information in the company CRM

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • 2-5 years experience in the semiconductor industry with knowledge in semiconductor fluid dispensing and conformal coating processes preferred.
  • Process engineering experience in semiconductor packaging or wafer level packaging environment would be highly valued
  • Analytical mind and ability to consider the big picture
  • Confident communicator – able to work closely with high level customers and present to large audiences
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Able to work extra hours, weekend, public holiday when there is needed.
  • Teamplayer who is comfortable to proactively draw on various resources in the organisation to achieve objectives
