Job Details

Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a high-impact data architecture initiative based out of Toronto. This role will focus on managing two critical workstreams: a Discovery & Assessment phase and the delivery of Strategic Recommendations to modernize and future-proof our data ecosystem. You will work cross-functionally with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to assess the current state, identify gaps, and define the path forward. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of discovery and assessment efforts related to data pipelines, observability, governance, metadata practices, data ownership, and tooling.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops with executive and technical teams to capture requirements and surface insights.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables across a phased 18-week roadmap, ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to assess readiness for Agentic BI and future-state enablement.
  • Support the development and presentation of strategic recommendations and architecture blueprints.
  • Coordinate the creation of frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for modern data platforms.
  • Ensure clear documentation and communication across all phases of the project.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience managing technical or data-focused projects, preferably within enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure, governance models, and data engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders across both business and technical domains.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience delivering complex strategic assessments with tangible outputs.
  • Familiarity with Agentic BI, data product thinking, and data mesh concepts is a plus.
