As a Technical Security Project Manager, you will establish and shape the Cyber Readiness function at Autodesk. This new role involves creating and implementing processes and programs for comprehensive visibility, timely remediation, and effective management of security findings. Your expertise will drive initiatives to remediate findings and maintain security posture, directly supporting Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Trusted Insider, Data Engineering, and Threat Hunting teams.
Must have:
  • Perform detailed analyses of security findings, leveraging tools to aggregate and correlate data.
  • Establish and document clear guidelines and protocols for timely remediation of identified issues.
  • Maintain clear, detailed incident reports and contribute to technical playbooks and SOPs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threat techniques, and best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Ensure effective incident analysis within cloud-agnostic environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Liaise with vendors for joint readiness planning and assist with security assessments.
  • Identify and implement automation to enhance visibility and respond to threats proactively.
  • Interface with internal audit or compliance functions during assessments.
  • Conduct after-action reviews and track lessons learned from threat analytics.
  • Validate response plans against real-world scenarios to ensure practical strategies.
  • Assess effectiveness of runbooks and improve automation steps to streamline processes.
  • Benchmark readiness posture against industry peers.
  • 2-4 years of experience in security operations, risk management or incident response.
  • Strong command of tools for log analysis, data correlation and dashboard building.
  • Experience identifying and implementing automations.
  • Strong experience in establishing and implementing cyber readiness processes.
  • Familiarity with telemetry, SIEM/SOAR integration, and cloud environments.
  • Exposure to security practices across various cloud platforms.
  • Experience participating in updating risk registries related to Threat Response.
  • Capability to develop metrics to quantify readiness improvements over time.
  • Fluent English.

Position Overview

As a Technical Security Project Manager, you will be a key player in establishing and shaping the Cyber Readiness function at Autodesk. This net-new role involves creating and implementing processes and programs from the ground up to ensure comprehensive visibility, timely remediation, and effective management of security findings. Your expertise will be crucial in driving initiatives to remediate findings effectively and maintaining our security posture. This role will directly support the Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Trusted Insider, Data Engineering, and Threat Hunting teams, while providing indirect assistance to the GRC, Security Operations, and Data Security, etc., teams.

This role can be hybrid from our Krakow office, or home based around Poland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Aggregation & Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of security findings, leveraging tools to aggregate and correlate data from various sources to identify trends and areas of concern. Establish and document clear guidelines and protocols for timely remediation of identified issues, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, detailed incident reports and contribute to the creation and refinement of technical playbooks, standard operating procedures and risk documentation.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threat techniques, and best practices in incident response and cybersecurity.
  • Cloud Agnostic: Ensure effective incident analysis within cloud-agnostic environments involving Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Joint Readiness Planning: Liaise with vendors and third parties for joint readiness planning. Assist with creating or managing Tabletop Exercises, Red Teaming / penetration tests, and other security assessments to validate and enhance the overall security posture.
  • Integration and Automation: Identify and implement automation to enhance visibility, reduce manual efforts, and respond to threats proactively. Make recommendations to improve existing security tools to enhance detection and prevention capabilities. Promote knowledge transfer among relevant teams to ensure cohesive and informed threat management.

Validate response plans against real-world scenarios to ensure practical and effective threat response strategies. Requirements

  • Experience; 2-4 years of experience in security operations, risk management or incident response, with demonstrable proficiency in managing and remediating security findings. Likely has experience with data science, data aggregation, or business intelligence.
  • Technical skills; Strong command of tools for log analysis, data correlation and build dashboards across multiple sources. Experience identifying and implementing automations to enhance visibility, reduce manual efforts and respond to threats proactively.
  • Foundational Expertise: Strong experience in establishing and implementing cyber readiness processes, including assessing and scoring readiness maturity, benchmarking against industry peers, and updating risk registries. Familiarity with telemetry, SIEM/SOAR integration, and cloud environments.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Cloud Agnostic: Exposure to security practices across various cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP, SaaS and on-prem.
  • Experience participating in updating risk registries related to Threat Response, ensuring accurate and up to date records.
  • Capability to develop metrics to quantify readiness improvements over time, proving measurable insights into program effectiveness.
  • Fluent English needed
