Job Description

This Technical Solutions Consultant role within Google's gTech team focuses on Ads Authoring Automation. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Strategy & Operations) to identify opportunities for automation and reporting tool leverage. The role requires understanding business needs, providing technical guidance, and developing automation solutions in partnership with stakeholders and external partners. Proactive problem-solving, effective communication, and project management skills are essential. The successful candidate will lead the automation process end-to-end (problem definition to launch), utilizing SQL and AppsScript/Javascript/Typescript to build, test, and maintain automation and reporting solutions (e.g., Looker Studio dashboards). Experience with Google Ads, digital advertising operations, and relevant programming languages is required.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 3 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
  • Experience in digital ads products (Google Ads), operations, and product implementations.
  • Experience with JavaScript or Typescript and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying technical solutions leveraging technology, automation or digital transformation frameworks.
  • Experience with advanced SQL, Javascript or Typescript, Google Application Script, and HTML.
  • Experience in project or program management.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads and ability to solve business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Work with gTech, Sales, Engineering, and Strategy and Operations teams to identify opportunities to leverage anchor automation and reporting tools to create highly scalable customer-focused solutions.
  • Understand business requirements, provide technical guidance, and develop automation and reporting solutions in partnership with stakeholder teams and external partners.
  • Identify, communicate, and solve operational challenges proactively and creatively through effective storytelling and project management.
  • Lead the automation process from end-to-end, from problem definition and solution requirements through design, build, test and launch phases.
  • Use SQL and AppsScript/Javascript/Typescript to build, test and maintain automation and reporting solutions, such as Pitching And Reporting Collateral and Looker Studio dashboards.
