The Technical Solutions Engineer, AI/ML will assist customers in adopting generative AI and new AI-powered experiences on GCP. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in AI/ML application tech stacks, working with customers on production deployments, acting as a consultant for internal stakeholders, and ensuring customer support (potentially including non-standard hours). This role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with Linux/Unix systems, and fluency in English. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and international customers to help Google grow its Cloud business and enable customer innovation.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years coding experience (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
  • Linux/Unix system expertise
  • AI/ML troubleshooting skills
  • Fluent English communication

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience reading/debugging code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go or JavaScript, etc.) or in system design and in virtualization and orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix or similar systems, from the kernel to the shell, file systems, and client-server protocols.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in an application tech stack including AI/ML.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English to communicate with different customers and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience debugging workload issues across multi-node environments.
  • Experience with exploratory kernel debugging and performance analysis of containerized systems.
  • Experience working with public cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Experience in Computer Networking (e.g., TCP/IP, Routing, Load balancing, etc.), with knowledge of basic web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers as they adopt generative AI and new AI-powered experiences across the GCP portfolio, and ensure they have a smooth experience using the platform, tools, and solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of Google Cloud’s product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, building tools, and diagnosis.
  • Work with key customers on their production deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness availability and scale using GCP Generative AI and AI/ML products making an impact on the customers' business.
  • Act as consultant and SME for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
  • Work as part of team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure customer support, including working non-standard work hour/shift and may include weekend work.
