The WPI Facilities Department is seeking temporary summer custodial staff to support cleaning and maintenance across campus. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, offices, and bathrooms. Additionally, the role involves emptying trash and recycling containers, moving furniture, equipment, and personal belongings, and assisting with event setup and breakdown. Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Start Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, offices, bathrooms, and other campus areas
Emptying trash and recycling containers
Moving and relocating furniture, small equipment, and personal belongings
Assisting with the setup and breakdown of indoor and outdoor events
Requirements:
A valid work permit is required for applicants aged 14 to 17
