Test Automation Lead

As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure project milestones are met, facilitating discussions to address challenges, and guiding your team in implementing effective solutions. You will also engage in strategic planning to enhance application performance and user experience, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the project goals and timelines.

Must Have

• Lead transformation to continuous quality engineering.

• Minimum 5 years experience in Automated Testing.
• Proficiency in Core Java (OOPs, Collections, Streams).
• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Page Object Model.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Proficiency in Cucumber (BDD).
• Skills in API Testing with RestAssured.
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, and Git.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and basic CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret test results.

Project Role : Test Automation Lead

Project Role Description : Lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills:Core Java - OOPs concepts (Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation) , Exception handling, Collections framework (List, Set, Map, etc.),File I/O (Java IO/NIO) - Java Streams and Lambda expressions (for modern test automation patterns) - Selenium WebDriver - Locating elements (XPath, CSS Selectors, ID, Name, etc.) - Working with different element types (dropdowns, checkboxes, alerts, frames) - Browser navigation and interaction ,Page Object Model (POM) - Handling waits: Implicit, Explicit, FluentWait ,Taking screenshots, logging - Test execution on multiple browsers (Cross-browser testing) ,TestNG or JUnit - Test annotations and execution flow, Assertions - Parameterization (via XML, DataProvider) - Parallel execution - Test suites setup - Cucumber (BDD) - Writing Gherkin syntax (Feature files with Scenarios/Scenario Outline) - Step Definitions in Java - Cucumber Hooks (Before, After) - Cucumber with TestNG or JUnit integration - Tagging and filtering scenarios - API Testing - REST API fundamentals (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) - Using RestAssured with Java - JSON and XML handling (parsing, validation) - Status codes, headers, cookies validation - API request chaining and parameterization - Build Tools & Version Control - Maven or Gradle: Dependency management, project structuring - Git: Basic commands (clone, commit, push, pull), branching, merging - Basic CI/CD - Knowledge of Jenkins: Job configuration, running automation suites - Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices. - Familiarity with scripting languages for test automation. - Ability to analyze and interpret test results to improve application quality.
