Synthesia is seeking a Trust Operations Analyst to join their Corporate Security team. This role focuses on ensuring Synthesia's security and compliance by supporting internal and external trust operations, including adherence to standards like ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2, and CSA STAR. The analyst will interact with customers and work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams. Responsibilities include supporting audits, maintaining security policies, collecting evidence, coordinating stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring alignment with various security frameworks. The position offers a hands-on opportunity to grow within a fast-paced AI unicorn, contributing to maintaining customer trust in security and privacy.
Must have:
- Comfortable with technical concepts and asking questions
- Technical aptitude, basic Python scripting ability
- Experience with AI/LLM tools
- Experience in security, risk, and compliance
- Confident customer engagement skills
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS)
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Organized, detail-oriented, clear communicator
Good to have:
- Experience in a fast-growing startup/SaaS company

The role
We’re looking for a Trust Operations Analyst to join our Corporate Security team.
You’ll help us keep Synthesia secure and audit-ready by supporting our internal and external trust operation efforts. This includes working with standards like ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and CSA STAR, while also interfacing with customers where necessary. In short, everything that is necessary to earn and maintain customer trust in our security and privacy.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that combines audit support, vendor and customer security engagements, and internal process development. You’ll work closely with experienced security professionals, as well as colleagues in Sales, Legal, Product & Engineering gaining deep exposure to a modern SaaS security landscape.
You don’t need to be a compliance expert, but if you have a solid background in security, are eager to learn, and are ready to be bold and take ownership, this role offers a great opportunity to grow quickly and actually have a real impact in a hypergrowth AI unicorn.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting Sales and Legal teams by being a SME of all things security
- Maintaining and improving our internal security policies and processes
- Supporting evidence collection, documentation, and stakeholder coordination
- Collaborating with engineering, product, legal, and others to keep us all aligned
- Getting involved in risk assessments and tracking mitigation efforts
- Keep us on track and aligned with various frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2, etc.)
- Exploring other certifications and frameworks as the business evolves
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are comfortable navigating technical concepts and asking insightful, well-informed questions
- We seek someone with technical aptitude. You don't need to be an expert programmer, but should be comfortable writing a simple Python script when needed
- Understand and have experience as a user of various AI, LLMs, and Coding agents tools
- Have experience within security, risk and compliance
- Are confident engaging with customers, providing clear and professional support both in writing and during live meetings
- Understand how cloud environments work — especially AWS
- Can work independently and proactively troubleshoot issues before escalating with clear, thoughtful, and specific questions
- Are organised, detail-oriented and communicate clearly and respectfully, whether you're writing documentation or collaborating with a team
Bonus points if you:
- Have worked in a fast-growing startup or SaaS company
- Have supported or participated in an external audit before
- Work and incorporated AI into your work habits
- Have experience with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or ISO 42001
- Have used compliance tools like Vanta, Drata, or similar platforms
- Know what Okta, Wiz, and Github are
