Comfort with posting work on social media, particularly X (Twitter) and Facebook, using platform-appropriate headlines, captions, and imagery to drive traffic, is essential.
Must Have:
  • Write breaking news, reviews, list features, and update evergreen content.
  • Pitch and produce original stories with strong traffic potential.
  • Conduct interviews with TV and movie talent.
  • Attend press events, screenings, and junkets in London when required.
  • Post stories on Facebook and X (Twitter) with sharp, engaging headlines.
  • Utilize SEO and analytics to inform and improve content output.
  • Possess proven experience writing about TV and movies for a digital publication.
  • Maintain a portfolio of news, reviews, interviews, or list features.
  • Demonstrate ability to write quickly, accurately, and with flair.
  • Exhibit professional use of social media, especially Facebook and Twitter/X.
  • Apply SEO knowledge for content writing and updates.
  • Be willing to cover a wide range of genres and spot emerging trends.

Dexerto is looking for a TV & Movies writer with sharp editorial instincts and a strong grasp of social media to help drive traffic and engagement.

You’ll be responsible for writing breaking news, features, listicles, reviews, and evergreen content across a wide range of genres. The ideal candidate will be fast, accurate, and able to pitch and produce stories that tap into what fans are searching for and talking about.

You must also be comfortable posting your work on social media, particularly X (Twitter) and Facebook, using platform-appropriate headlines, captions, and imagery to help drive traffic and engagement.

You should be confident covering a broad mix of genres, including superheroes, horror, fantasy, action, true crime, anime, and more, with a good understanding of what performs well with online audiences.

We would also like a writer with contacts in the industry who is able to attend screenings and junkets.
